Directions:

Cook Apples

  1. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and line a sheet tray with parchment paper. If making crumble, preheat the oven to 375°F. 
  2. Warm olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once shimmering, add in apples, salt, and cinnamon. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon maple syrup and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are softened and caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. Diced apples cooked in maple syrup and cinnamon in a skillet until carmelized.

Make the Crumble

  1. In a medium bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and Kosher salt. Mix together until combined. Flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and Kosher salt mixed in a bowl.
  2. Add in olive oil and stir together until a delicate crumble is formed. Place on the prepared parchment-lined baking sheet and toast for 5 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.
